A real place to study in Stellenbosch, outside the library
The library is full in exam season, the res study hall is loud, and your room is where you sleep. The Village Hub is a working coworking space on the first floor of The Foundry at Nooitgedacht Village: 36 desks, fast fibre, a quiet zone, secure parking and coffee that does not run out. During exam season most of the people around you after 17:00 are students doing exactly what you are doing.
You get your own electronic access tag, so the building is open to you at 02:00 on a Sunday if that is when the chapter finally makes sense. Group work goes into the 12-seat Village Boardroom at a study-room rate of R150 an hour after 17:00 and on weekends; four of you split it and it is cheaper than a round of coffees.
How it works
- WhatsApp Christel or apply below and tell us which plan you want.
- Send a photo of your student card and proof of 2026 registration (a SUNStudent screenshot is fine).
- Pay the first invoice in the Village Hub app, collect your access tag at the front desk, and start.
Activation usually happens the same day during office hours (Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 18:00).
House rules, so it stays quiet
- No calls at the desks. Take them to the lobby or the lawn.
- Headphones for anything with sound.
- No guests who are not on a pass.
- Study use only. Running a business from a student plan is not allowed; our hot desk plans are for that.
- One warning, then the pass is cancelled without refund. It is a small price for a room that stays quiet.

Frequently asked questions
How much does the Exam Pass cost?
R795 once-off including VAT for unlimited 24/7 access from 26 October to 5 December 2026. That is 41 days, so R19,39 a day, coffee included. Only 20 passes.
Who qualifies?
Any registered student. Bring your student card and proof of 2026 registration. We verify every application and re-verify every February.
Can I study at night and on weekends?
Yes. The Exam Pass, Night Owl and All-Access are 24/7 with your own access tag, including weekends and public holidays. Secure parking at the door.
Is it quiet?
Yes. Students sit in a quiet zone, calls happen outside, and group work goes into the boardroom at R150 an hour after 17:00 and on weekends.
Can I use it for my side business?
No. Student plans are for study only. If you are trading, the hot desk plans from R1 000 a month excl. VAT are the right fit.
Is there a contract?
The Exam Pass is once-off. Monthly plans are month to month on 30 days' notice. Days and passes do not roll over.
